VPA Unpacked is for anyone interested in or working on FLEGT Voluntary Partnership Agreements. VPA Unpacked is organised in six chapters, which describe the different aspects of VPAs in increasing levels of detail. It is available on several languages: Spanish, French, Thai, Burmese, and Lao.
The FAO-EU Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT) Programme seeks to reduce and eventually eliminate illegal logging. With the support of its donors, the FAO-EU FLEGT Programme funds projects created by governments, civil society and private sector organizations in Latin America, Africa and Asia to improve forest governance.
IMM uses trade flow analysis and market research to independently assess trade and market impacts of FLEGT Voluntary Partnership Agreements (VPAs) in the EU and partner countries.
LoggingOff is a space for civil society to share and exchange views and experiences of the FLEGT process and the importance of recognising communities’ land rights. With up-to-date and from-the-ground information, LoggingOff builds connections between civil society in timber producing countries, and national and EU policy makers.
Capacity4dev is the European Commission’s knowledge sharing platform for International Cooperation and Development.
FLEGT.org is dedicated to sharing accurate information and practical knowledge about the implementation of the EU FLEGT Action Plan. It is a one-stop centre where visitors can access news and other resources about the Action Plan’s goals of combatting illegal logging and fostering good forest governance.

The VPA Africa – Latin America Facility supports the implementation of the EU FLEGT Action Plan with a focus on Voluntary Partnership Agreements (VPAs). The Facility contributes to combating illegal logging and strengthening forest governance while encouraging sustainable economic development in countries that produce or process timber and export to the EU. The Facility is hosted by the European Forest Institute (EFI) and was established in November 2019.
